Another collaboration with ~LucerasNight, a friend of mine. We were quite busy, having to produce so many presents for Mother’s day, birthdays, etc. It’s astonishing how many pictures you can draw if you don’t want to spend money on presents.
This one was for the partner of Lucera’s mother who had this motive on his computer. We both really dislike this guy and we had planned not to put much effort into the picture but we ended up doing it anyway, as we liked the motive so much.
When we work together, Lucera usually starts from the bottom and I draw upside down from the top. I like this method because it keeps me from concentrating too much on shapes and objects. Whenever I try something new and difficult, I do that upside down first until I get a feeling for the lines, spaces and colours (if there are any). Then, with a little training, I can also draw these things the normal way.
